Features of the construction project can be identified as follows;

Construction projects are unique to each other. That is happening due to some kind of reasons. Those reasons could be categorized as follows;

·         Various projects are located at various locations ( but each projects are unique even though they are located at the same location or the same site )

·         Cost of various projects differ from each other

·         Group of people who are gathered to carry out the project is differ from each project\

The risk related to the construction projects are very high. Basically that risk can be categorized as price risk, time risk.

Cost of a construction project is very high and those projects comprise of lots of activities. As a result, it is not possible to control the cost incurred to the particular project within the budget at the completion of it. Also it is very difficult to complete the project within the expected time period.

 IV.            High professional involvement

There are lots of professionals are involved in a construction project. But it depends on the complexity and the size of the project. It is necessary to have qualified and well experienced professionals to acquire the project as expected.

    V.            Construction projects are always a input to a another industry or a project

That is one the very unique feature of a construction project. Because the output of a construction project is a input to another industry or a project. For example, construction of a road is a input to a transportation industry.

 VI.            High resource involvement

As most of the construction projects are very complex and huge, the resource involvement is also very high. Basically the resources related to the construction project are material, labour and plant.
