Preparation of the interim payment application is one of the major activities done by the contractor's quantity surveyor.( special those who work for a specific project as a site QS)
in general practice, interim payment application (IPA) is prepared once in a month at the beginning of which. That contain;
1. Value of work done, both permanent and temporary up to end of previous month.
2. Direct payments to authorities done by the contractor.
3. value of material at site(A %which indicate in the contract document)
4. value of material off site.
5. Insurances, bonds and guarantees taken by the contractor
6. value of variations and extra works.

2. Contract Agreement
3. Measurement sheets
4. Payment certificate
4. work inspection request (WIR)
5. Delivery notes. Copies of bonds, guarantees and insurances taken by the contractor in related with the project
6. Previous payment history.
7. Variation orders
8. Shop drawings with progress indication
9. Copies of recepts of payment to authorities
10. Proofs of payments to nominated subcontractors
11.Engineer's instructions, minutes of meetings and etc.
